Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how gravitylink ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the gravitylink platform ("Service"). By accessing or using the service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Account information — name, email address, and organisation details provided at sign-up

  • Usage information — how you interact with the Service, including features accessed and actions taken

  • Integration data — data pulled from connected tools including GitHub (pull requests, code changes), Linear, Jira (tickets and issues), and Slack (channel and message metadata where required to deliver the Service)

  • Technical information — browser type, device information, and IP address

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service

  • Generate AI-assisted summaries and briefings from your connected integrations

  • Send notifications and updates through connected channels such as Slack

  • Maintain security and prevent misuse

  • Communicate with you about the Service, including support requests and product updates

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Data Processing and AI

We use AI models provided by OpenAI to generate plain-language summaries of engineering activity. Your data is not used to train AI models. Each organisation's data is processed and stored in isolation and is never shared across customers.

4. Third-Party Integrations

To deliver the Service, gravitylink connects to tools you authorise, including GitHub, Linear, Jira, and Slack. We access only the data necessary to provide the requested features. We do not modify your repositories or tickets. In Slack, gravitylink posts digests and replies to threads only in channels you have explicitly configured.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing the policies of any tools you connect.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless we are required to retain it by law.

6. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access to your organisation's data is restricted to authorised members of your workspace. We do not share your data between organisations.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. Cookies and Analytics

gravitylink uses a single session cookie (gravitylink_session) to keep you signed in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the Service to function and expires after 7 days. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

We do not currently use analytics tools that track your behaviour across sessions.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.

10. Contact
